Today I’m sharing a bit of bible journaling I recently completed in Deuteronomy 29. It features a tip-in which is something I haven’t tried before. I’m reasonably happy with how it turned out. I like that it gives me extra space to focus on more parts of the scripture than I would otherwise have.
I made the tip-in by cutting a piece of cardstock to size and using washi tape to attach it. I like the washi tape because it is not only pretty, but also fairly forgiving if I need to make an adjustment to my original placement.
I also used a couple stickers I bought on sale at Michael’s and although I drew the eyes myself, I did find an image online to inspire me and help me get the proportions correct. The pink of the heart is my first time using my new watercolor pencils.
I really like your Bible Journaling page!! I too, Bible journal. I have several photos on my Instagram of my Bible journal entries (you’d just need to look at the early photos there).
Thanks! I’ll hop over to Instagram and check out your photos. 🙂
I do some Bible journaling. Your Bible journaling is wonderful! 🙂
Thank you. I’d love to see photos of your journaling! If you want to share, you can email me at writekathleendenly at gmail dot com or tag me on Twitter or share it on my new Bible Journaling thread on my Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/KathleenDenly.author/posts/924080694444966
Thanks for stopping by my blog! 😀
I might get into digital Bible jouranling. I would love a good app for that. I could start with Adobe Spark, download some beautiful Creative Commons imagery, and put verses and scrapbooking elements with it. I am already doing something similar for my beginning self expression digital collages. I am no expert, but I like to make them. Paper bible journaling is not my forte!
Oooh. I could totally get behind a digital version . . . as long as the learning curve wasn’t too steep. LOL I don’t mind learning new things, but my list of things to learn is already so long. Still, the idea of not having to store all the supplies is very appealing. On the other hand, there is something about the tactile nature of creating things manually that appeals to me and satisfies me in a different way than things I create in digital form. I’d love to see some of your digital collages if you care to share them! Feel free to email them to me or tag me on Twitter or Facebook. 🙂
Thank you! I will email you some later in the week. I would love to hear what you think.
The tactile nature of creating things by hand is certainly satisfying, but I love how by using digital techniques, as simple as mine are, I can create anywhere. As long as I have my phone I can make things. And it’s so much cheaper! LOL.
Yay! I’ll keep an eye out for your email. 🙂
