Oh, hello. You want to know more about me? I’m so flattered, but where do I begin? Let’s see . . .
When I was in 4th grade . . . no, I already covered that in a blog post and that may be going back a bit too far for this visit. You probably have 5 and half million things to do after our visit, so I’ll try to keep this concise.
I suppose if we are going to be friends, the first thing you should know is that I am a daughter of the One True King and without Him, none of this would be possible. You should also know that I am crazy-in-love with my wonderful husband of over nineteen years and we have four young children (okay so a couple have hit the double-digits but they’ll always be my babies), three of whom grew under my heart and one who grew in it.
We live in a modest house on twenty acres in the mountains of sunny California with nine adorable cats (who sometimes think they’re dogs), and one dog who has aspirations of becoming a race horse.
Wipe your feet and come on in. You could sit at the table, but my kids haven’t cleaned up their schooling for the day (we homeschool). So let’s settle on the couch for our chat. (Sorry about that stack of books, my To Be Read pile has gotten a little out of control. Just nudge it to the side.)
Would you like a drink? I have water, lemonade, juice, and milk. Oh, and there are tea and coffee in the cabinet. I can boil water for tea, but don’t ask me how the coffee machine works. It belongs to my husband. You’re on your own if that’s your pick. However, if you’re hungry, I’m sure I can find the fixings for a sandwich.
So, what would you like to chat about? My favorite topics are God, romance, history, writing, and reading. I’ve shared posts on those topics on my blog.
Are you on Goodreads? I try to keep my reading status up-to-date there, but I admit some books do get missed. I’m also on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Pinterest. Are you? Let’s follow each other!
Uh-oh. Look at the time. I know you need to hurry off, but thanks for stopping by! Also, now that we’re friends, you can pick a chocolate from my chocolate stash before you go. (Hey, I don’t share those with just anyone!)
By the way, if I’m ever invited to return your visit, please don’t be offended when I decline your offers of tea or coffee. I don’t really do hot drinks. I will, however, accept a cool glass of lemonade (no ice please) and any piece of milk chocolate you happen to have on hand. If you need to run out and buy some, no worries. I’ll wait. Unless you’ll be driving past a bookstore. In that case, let’s go together!
See you soon!
