Kathleen Denly lives in sunny California with her loving husband, four young children, one dog, and nine cats. As a member of the adoption and foster community, children in need are a cause dear to her heart and she finds they make frequent appearances in her stories. When she isn’t writing, researching, or caring for children, Kathleen spends her time reading, visiting historical sites, hiking, and crafting.

I thought the author did a wonderful job with the accuracy of the history during that time. I love that she included her research at the end of the book on where she got her information for the historical facts. Eliza, the main character is easy to love. She may be stubborn and headstrong but she is also very loving and loyal. There was adventure, suspense and romance all rolled into one story. Author Interview – Kara Swanson
If you’ve been following my blog, you know I had the pleasure of meeting Kara Swanson at the first annual SoCal Christian Writers’ Conference in June of this year. I also recently shared the first line from Kara’s novella, The Girl Who Could See, (which kept me up FAR too late on the night I purchased it) and today I’m excited to welcome her to my blog for a fast and fun interview!
