Today I’m sharing the first line from a book I picked up at the 2018 Mount Hermon Christian Writers Conference, Love’s Surprise by Karen Ball.
Here is the first line:
MISSION CONTROL

“An Unlikely Angel” is the story of a very successful lawyer who believes he’s got everything he wants and needs in life. Then a charming but destructive Siberian Husky turns up. The man comes to learn what is truly valuable, with help from an even more charming and quirky girl-next-door, and the gentle nudge of…an angel?

That’s an unexpected first line for such a pretty-covered book. But I like it. I’m not near any books right thise second (isn’t that horrifying!).
It IS horrifying! And absolutely unacceptable. No one should ever be without a book! 😉 Have you tried any reading apps? I’m assuming that since you are online you have a digital device of some kind. To my way of thinking, every digital device must provide some form of reading – either audiobooks or ebooks. Any digital device which lacks this capability simply shouldn’t exist. Also, many libraries now have digital catalogs that allow you to “check out” digital books for free. So really, there is no reason to ever be without a good book. 😀 Ha ha. Nevertheless, I am grateful you stopped by and I do hope you remedy your current situation so that you may have a very pleasant weekend! 😀

My first line comes from a book I will be reading soon, Oh My Stars by Sally Kilpatrick.
