First Line Friday – 6.30.17

first-line-friday-3

Today is a very special Friday. You see, today I get to celebrate the birth of the woman who most assuredly inspired my love of reading:  my mom! So in honor of my mother’s birthday, I’m sharing the first line from a book which she has recently read and enjoyed.

A Match Made in Alaska is the # book in Love Inspired’s Alaskan Grooms series written by Belle Calhoune.

A Match Made in Alaska

Isn’t that just a beautiful cover? Thanks mom for choosing such a pretty book! 🙂

Here’s the first line:

“Welcome to O’Rourke Charters.”

Okay, so it’s a fairly bland first line, but I think it will help if I tell you the first paragraph reveals the heroine is boarding a small plane in Alaska wearing leopard print pajama bottoms. Oh and she’s heading for “Love, Alaska … a town filled with hot bachelors looking for love.” I certainly think that makes things a little more interesting. 😉

Now it’s your turn! Grab the book nearest to you and leave a comment with the first (or your favorite) line!

Then head on over and share your first line with these friends:
