Hi Everyone! It’s First Line Friday, so grab a book near you and share your first line in the comments below!

Today I’m sharing the first line from The Love Knot by Karen Witemeyer, a Ladies of Harper Station novella. Available separately or as part of the Hearts Entwined novella collection.

The Love Knot

Here is the first line:

May 1895

Harper’s Station, Texas

about-the-book-2

Claire Nevin identifies herself in many ways: Irish immigrant, apprentice healer, and most importantly, sister. When her troubled sibling sends her an unexpected package by rail, the gift and the man who delivers it threaten to redefine Claire’s life once again. Fighting to hold on to all she’s built, will she lose what matters most?
